This little saucepan has many practical uses. I use it nearly everyday to make one or two servings of oatmeal and it is also great for whipping up marinades or sauces. It is a solid stainless-steel pan with a nice heavy bottom.
The handle stays relatively cool to the touch, though warmer by the base of the pan. The handle on the glass lid gets hot enough that you may need a potholder, but that doesn't bother me.
After near daily use for months - and just as many trips through the dishwasher - this pan is in great shape. I have the larger saucepan also and it is holding up just as well. I'd recommend these pans to anyone!

A one quart saucepan is just right for simmering or reheating two servings. I use it for vegetables, canned soup and left-overs. It heats evenly and has a nice design. Quick to wash and takes less storage room. Good for "empty-nesters" who don't need to cook large quantities. If you cook for a crowd you probably don't need a one quart.

This pan fit my needs perfectly - needed a nice, small saucepan without the non-stick coating that always scratches off. This pan is heavy duty, nice, and always stays clean after use. Looks the same after months of use as when it was received. Can't go wrong with this pan!

When it comes to upscale induction cooktops, some of the best names in cookware often fail the pocket magnet "cling" test. The more its magnetic appeal, the better induction performer it will be... and this little 1-qt wonder is an All Star on any cooking surface with its combo of heavy stainless covering a bottom hunk of even cooking aluminum. In fact, this little pot with its protected glass cover fits my pro kitchen so well, I'm adding more Simply Calphalon Stainless.

It's also sitting in a landfill somewhere due to my mother having incinerated it on her stovetop. I'll stick with Ikea where I can get 3 different sized pots bundled for $10 bucks and have enough left over to buy some spoons.
